Recently we made some Cyber Monday recommendations using Amazon. Since then Amazon has been relentlessly recommending TV series to us. We cannot escape their great recommendations and realize our checking account is doomed. At this point we know it’s only a matter of time until we get on a first name basis with our mailman.

1. Lost: Did you miss out on the Cyber Monday deal on Lost? No worries. Lost on DVD  and Blu Ray is still on sale.

2. 24: Before Homeland blew everyone’s mind there was 24. Yes it kind of fell apart near the end, but Kiefer Sutherland made it all worth it. If you want heart pounding, nail biting, action complete with fights, guns and explosions, look no further.

3. Freaks and Geeks:  was brilliant and now the entire series can be yours for less than 40 dollars. The thought of being snowed in with a Freaks and Geeks gift set makes our little heart leap with joy.

4. Daria: Speaking of angsty brilliant teen dramas, remember Daria? How could you forget this brilliant comedy? Daria is a testament to the unrealized potential of MTV. Sure MTV has a couple Awkward. moments from time to time, but it will never get back to the glory days of Daria and….

5. My So- Called Life: My So-Called Life. This series was our guilty pleasure. Apparently it’s taken people 17 years to realize Claire Danes is brilliant. It took us 1 episode of My So-Called Life to recognize that fact. If you love Danes in Homeland now you will probably love the back in the day red headed Danes as Angela in this brilliant but canceled series.

And for the record, right now you can get My So-Called Life, Daria and Freaks and Geeks on Amazon in a bundle for $100? Yes, our brain just exploded!

6. The Wire:  To be honest I don’t know any man or critic alive who would not flip out this holiday season after receiving The Wire. There is a reason people are still talking about that show. Don’t let the hipsters scare you away from this emotionally charged, compelling, gritty drama.

7.  Arrested Development: Yes technically Arrested Development  has not completed it’s series run since it will be pulling a Family Guy and will be returning to Netflix but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this series over the winter break. Plus, it’s on Netflix, which means if you are one of the 3 million people who left Netflix and vowed you would never return you will not be able to watch the series anyways.

8. Seinfeld: Don’t pretend like you are not still using the words “Ya Da Ya Da Ya Da” to fill in voids in your sentence or that you are not worried about double dipping at holiday parties during the cold and flu season. After all this time Seinfeld still holds up. It’s still relevant and it’s still hilarious.

9. Friday Night Lights: Just because the NFL survived a lock out does not mean we did not experience a big loss this year when it came to football. Friday Night Lights is that show you always meant to catch up with but never got around to. You don’t miss the water until the well runs dry. Sorry, Friday Night Lights we recognize your brilliance now and will share you with the world (even though it’s a little too late).

10. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air: Let’s not even pretend like you didn’t sing the entire theme song out loud when you saw this last recommendation. Today a Czarina reminded us about how brilliant The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was and we bought the entire series on impulse. Carlton happy dance time!!!
